Upon review of the record, it appears that the supreme court clerk's office informed Appellant Lori Jean H. Camerlingo by letter dated April 7, 2000 that the opening brief is in default and that pursuant to Rule 30 of the Hawaii Rules of Appellate Procedure the matter would be called to the attention of the court for such action as the court deemed proper,
including dismissal of the appeal. Appellant has not filed the opening brief; therefore,
