ORDER GRANTING THE MOTION FOR DISMISSAL OF APPEAL
(By: Foley, Presiding Judge, Fujise and Leonard, JJ.)

Upon consideration of the Motion for Dismissal of Appeal filed by the Office of the Public Defender (PD's Office), the papers in support, and the records and files herein, it appears that: (1) Juvenile-Appellant (Appellant), through the PD's Office, filed a notice of appeal on January 8, 2008;

(2) upon filing of the notice of appeal, the PD's Office notified Appellant that she must provide contact information throughout the pendency of the appeal; (3) although the PD's Office obtained contact information for Appellant from Appellant's probation officer, all attempts to contact Appellant after June 27, 2008 have been unsuccessful; (4) Appellant failed to provide her attorney with updated contact information; and (5) all diligent efforts to locate Appellant have failed. Therefore,

IT IS HEREBY ORDERED that the motion for dismissal of the appeal is granted, and this appeal is dismissed pursuant to HRAP Rule 42(c).
