Petitioner/defendant-appellant Mathilda Noelani Mason's papers, filed ex-officio on August 28, 2008, are deemed a motion for reconsideration of the August 22, 2008 order rejecting Mason's applications for writ of certiorari filed on August 4, 2008 and August 7, 2008. Hawai‘i Rules of Appellate Procedure 40.1(h) provides that "[n]either acceptance nor rejection of an application for a writ of certiorari shall be subject to a motion for reconsideration in the supreme court. The rejection of an application for certiorari shall be final." Therefore,

IT IS HEREBY ORDERED that the motion for reconsideration is dismissed.
