ORDER GRANTING RECONSIDERATION
AND PETITION TO RESIGN AND
SURRENDER LICENSE

Upon consideration of Petitioner Margaret L. Sanders' Motion to
Reconsider Order Denying Petition to Resign and Surrender License and
the attached affidavits, it appears: (1) Petitioner
Sanders was formerly Margaret L. Dorothy who is assigned attorney
number 4681; (2) Petitioner Sanders was unable to timely file a
petition to resign and surrender license in 2008 because of
illness and medical treatment; (3) Petitioner Sanders is currently
administratively suspended due to nonpayment of her 2009 bar dues and
fees. Petitioner Sanders is unable to pay her 2009
bar dues and fees because of her illness and medical treatment, and
asks the court to waive her 2009 bar dues and fees; and (4) Petitioner
Sanders' petition otherwise complies with the
requirements of RSCH 1.10. Therefore,
IT IS HEREBY ORDERED that Petitioner Sanders' Motion for
Reconsideration is granted, and the order entered on June 3, 2009
denying Petitioner Sanders' RSCH 1.10 petition and
dismissing Petitioner Sanders' petition for waiver of her 2009 bar dues
and fees is vacated. Petitioner Sanders' RSCH 1.10 petition to resign
and surrender her license to practice law in
Hawai‘i and her petition for waiver of her 2009 bar dues and fees are
granted.
IT IS FURTHER ORDERED that Petitioner Sanders shall return her
original license to practice law to the Clerk of this court forthwith.
The Clerk shall retain the original license as part of
this record. Petitioner Sanders shall comply with the notice,
affidavit, and record requirements of sections (a), (b), (d), and (g)
of RSCH 2.16.
IT IS FINALLY ORDERED that the Clerk shall remove the name of
Margaret L. Sanders, attorney number 4681, from the roll of attorneys
of the State of Hawai‘i, effective with the filing of
this order.
