ORDER OF INTERIM SUSPENSION
(By: Moon, C.J., Nakayama, Acoba, Duffy, and Recktenwald, JJ.)

Upon consideration of the Office of Disciplinary Counsel's petition for the interim suspension of Respondent Curtis T. Narimatsu from the practice of law pursuant to Rule 2.23 of the Rules of the Supreme Court of the State of Hawai‘i (RSCH), the memoranda, affidavits, and exhibits in support, and the record, it appears the Office of Disciplinary Counsel has presented sufficient evidence that Respondent Narimatsu may have violated the Hawai‘i Rules of Professional Conduct and poses a substantial threat of serious harm to the public. Therefore,

IT IS HEREBY ORDERED that, pursuant to RSCH 2.23(b), Respondent Curtis T. Narimatsu's license to practice law in the State of Hawai‘i is suspended, effective upon entry of this order.

IT IS FURTHER ORDERED, notwithstanding RSCH 2.23(d), that Respondent Narimatsu shall promptly notify, by registered or certified mail, return receipt requested, each of his clients involved in pending litigation or administrative proceedings, and the attorney or attorneys for each adverse party in such matter or proceeding, of his suspension and consequent inability to act as an attorney after the effective date of his suspension. The notice shall advise Respondent Narimatsu's clients of the desirability of the prompt substitution of another attorney or attorneys in his place. Respondent Narimatsu shall comply with all other requirements of RSCH 2.16.

IT IS FINALLY ORDERED that the Clerk shall forthwith distribute to all judges copies of this order.

DATED: Honolulu, Hawai'i, September 22, 2009.
